    Egghead Software Frees Up Space for MS-DOS 6 Arrival
  Major national reseller places one of its largest initial
                  orders of newest version
               of leading PC operating system
     
     VANCOUVER, B.C. -- March 30, 1993 -- Microsoft Canada Inc.
     today announced that the Canadian division of Egghead
     Software has placed one of that company's largest initial
     orders of the new MS-DOSr6 operating system.
     
     "We've placed one of the largest orders for Microsoft's MS-
     DOS in Canada because we believe its new features will make
     it attractive to many consumers, small businesses and
     corporations," said Kristin Whiteaker, general manager of
     Egghead's retail, and corporate and government sales
     operations in Canada. "The product includes a file
     compression feature that we believe users will appreciate as
     well as file backup and anti-virus utilities to allow them
     to better manage their PCs."
     
     "We are very appreciative of the support that Egghead has
     demonstrated in MS-DOS 6 with this purchase agreement," says
     Jackie Slemko, western region sales manager at Microsoft
     Canada Inc., " and early indications such as this lead us to
     anticipate that sales of MS-DOS 6 will most certainly exceed
     those of MS-DOS 5."
     
     The most significant advancement in the MS-DOS 6 Upgrade
     package is DoubleSpace  a data compression utility which
     effectively doubles your hard disk capacity. Other
     improvements include an anti-virus checker, better memory
     management and a host of MS-DOS and Windows tools such as
     Backup and Undelete.
     
     With Canadian headquarters based in Vancouver, Egghead is
